Bowling

Today was 3rd grade family fun day. After school, my students were invited to come bowling with their families. 11 of my 19 students came. We had a lot of fun. Most of the boys thought that bowling was a full contact sport! I think they might need to re-oil their lanes soon! It was fun to watch parents and kids interacting outside of a school setting. It was also neat for the parents to see how their children interact with each other!
Luke didn't want his picture taken, but Mom was having none of that!
The winning team! Kimberly gets the prize for persistence. In two games, she knocked down a total of 8 pins!
This was the team of sisters. They bowled by themselves, away from all the crazy boys!
Annie, Bin, Matthew, and Hannah. They were the second place team. They lost by .2. (We added everyones scores for both games and divided by the number of people on their team. What a good older brother Matthew is! This team actually had parents and students!
The all boys team. These are the ones that think bowling is a contact sport.
The mom team (and two of their sons).
Overall, I think it was a success. The kids had a blast. I just hope they can calm down for class tomorrow!
