Envelope Game

Today we took the new staff around the island to explore and learn some practical things. My group started off at Clark Quay, looking for statues, buildings, and random people to interview. We were supposed to ask 5 random people what they thought the Esplanade was modeled after. The Esplanade is a performing arts center that is spiky. Emily went first and asked someone who said "ehh?" looked at the next person who said "ehh?" and on down the line through 4 people. The fourth person signaled for someone else to come and help, and that person also eventually needed help as well. In the end, they thought it looked like a durian: the king of fruits. We also got the answer of a hedgehog, ball, microphone, and "I can't say." From Clark Quay we headed to Vivo City (a very LARGE mall) where they had to pay a bill, top up their bus cards, find out what movies were showing, and buy a symbol to represent our team. We also stopped for lunch, inclusive of ice katang which is shaved ice covered in red beans, corn, and some colored sauces. From there we headed to Chinatown for dumplings. In Chinatown we bought another symbol of our team (another elephant), asked for directions for durian (still the stinky fruit) and took our picture in front of the Chinese Heritage Center. Our final destination was the Botanical Gardens where we met another team and headed for supper at Chili's. Overall it was a good day, but very exhausting. It's 8:08 and we are headed to bed!
